I write the column I wish I'd had.
For most of my twenties and thirties, the conversations I needed — about pelvic pain, about sex after a diagnosis, about the parts of women's health that nobody prints on a pamphlet — happened in whispers, if they happened at all. The writing I do now is the writing I wish had been there when I was looking for it.
